Over 16,000 votes were cast in 29 participating countries in the competition judged by music industry peers.
Music Aid International was originally formed in 1998 to support children in need. Fans of Farita will be pleased to hear the release of her new track "The Light" will be out shortly. The track, penned by Farita for the 4th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress will touch and inspire both young and old. While an official release date has not been announced Ishtim Records has confirmed it should be within the coming week.
Farita will be performing the track live for the first time on December 27th 2007 at the University of Ballarat.

Little Khushru Mehta is a 2 year old boy who is profoundly deaf in both ears, has been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and has global developmental delay. In addition he also has a rare genetic disorder called DOOR syndrome, because of which he has underdeveloped fingertips and nails, developmental delay and a recent history of seizures and the possibility of vision retardation in later life.
His only chance of hearing is with a cochlear implant in both ears. The cochlear implant process is extremely expensive and has on going life long expenses, along with all the constant rehabilitation cost as well.
Little Khushru deserves every chance possible to improve the quality of his life.
His young family are in great need of any financial aid and we appeal to all generous and large hearted individuals to help this young family in their hour of need. We also request you to forward this appeal to as many people as possible.
